- Very Thin (<0.5mm): Great clumping, but like beach sand it sticks to the cat's paw and spreads all over the house (Tracking problem).

1. The Physics of Absorption in Bentonite Cat Litter: Why the “Mixed” Size?
Why do we use a mixed range and not a single size? Answer “Interstitial Packing” principle. Imagine filling a jar with tennis balls; large air gaps remain in between. When you fill those gaps with sand, you achieve complete integrity.
- Skeleton Our coarse granules (1.5mm - 2.25mm) form the skeleton of the pellet, giving weight and strength.
- Filling: Our fine granules (0.6mm - 1.5mm) fill the microscopic gaps between these coarse grains.
- Conclusion: As soon as the liquid touches the sand, it cannot find a hole to flow through. It hits the bentonite wall and immediately forms a flat, “biscuit” shaped lump.
