Is there any damage to nature during the extraction of bentonite?
No, we don't. As YC Bentonit, we strictly adhere to sustainable mining principles. In our bentonite mining sites, we do not leave the areas where extraction processes are completed to their fate, we rehabilitate, afforest and reintroduce them to nature. We use environmentally friendly technologies that minimise our carbon footprint.
In which sectors is the clay extracted from your bentonite mine used?
The high-purity clay extracted from our mine in Ordu is used industrially for the production of ultra-premium cat litter (including Private Label contract manufacturing), as a drilling fluid additive to API standards, a high-heat resistant binder for the foundry industry, and for ground improvement and waterproofing in construction projects.
